Homecoming Week by: Cassie Naff

I’ve never really liked Homecoming Week very much until this year. When I was in elementary school, it was just something the older kids did and we got a t-shirt. In middle school, I was really excited about being able to dress up for the week until I saw what the themes were going to be.  I was expecting to be dressing up like a character from my favorite books or movies. Instead, I had to dress like a taco salad!  This year in high school has been so much better.  Disney Day was my best day of the week since I could pretend to be a part of Pirates of the Caribbean for the day.  Watching all the kids wearing their jeans and cowboy boots, I felt like Southern Pride Day was more like Western Pride Day.
The hall decorations this year have been so beautiful!  Everything is bright and cheerful.  I think the decorations make everyone have a better attitude.  I’ve seen more people smiling and happy this week and being more friendly.  It almost makes you happy to come to school every day.
