A London-based social media management firm StatusPeople created an online tool to go through your followers and find out which ones are fake. The website is http://fakers.statuspeople.com/Fakers/ it is very good to use and tells you what you the truth is about your followers.
The fake followers mostly follow big accounts like the @facebook account, which actually has 44% fake followers. The fake followers are spam bots that usually have no tweets, follow a ton of people, and have hardly any or no followers at all. So watch out for those signs, and you will probably avoid the fake accounts.
