All of you know that the Los Angles Lakers wanted to do some rebuilding on the team after this years 2011-12 season. As you know they lost early in the playoffs last year because of lack of game changers on the defense and offensive end. The first thing the Lakers did to fix that problem is picked up the mature and savvy point guard Steve Nash. You have to build your team around the coach and the point guard and last year the Lakers did not have a point guard that led the team the way he should. Steve Nash will play a big role in the Lakers winning this year.
Second, the Lakers had to pick up a big man that had a defensive presence. Andrew Bynum’s legs were pumping and foot were moving on offense, but on defense he did not play up to his potential. Therefore the lakers dropped him and picked up the strong and bulked Dwight Howard. Howard has a great defensive presence. Although his offense needs to be sharpened he makes up for it on the defensive end. I think the Lakers this year will be ten times better than last year and will make it deeper into the playoffs.
