Homecoming week is just next week. We are going to able to have fun dressing up to support our football team. We have days like disney day and color day, but I want to talk about southern pride. Southern Pride is a day when you dress up in anything you think defines the south. Things like Alabama, Auburn, camo and so on.
The reason it is called southern pride this year, is because in past years there have been people who took it the wrong direction. Senior cheerleaders get to help out with days and everyone wanted a “camo” day. Well, that name would not be approved by the school for a big reason. Some students in the past were wearing armed forces kind of como and many people did not like that. That is why the name is now southern pride day this year.
