With more than ten feet in diameter and over two thousand pounds, a record breaking bacon cheeseburger was cooked in Minnesota on September 3rd, 2012. The restaurant of this patty was the Black Bear Casino near Carlton, Minnesota. Some of the weight of the burger’s ingredients include sixty pounds of bacon, fifty pounds of lettuce, 50 pounds of sliced onions, forty pounds of pickles and forty pounds of cheese. It’s over all weight was 2,014 juicy pounds. Meat browning, grease sizzling, the patty cooked for a full four hours and a crane was used to flip it.
The record was confirmed when Guinness Records representative Philip Robertson verified the burger. It was said that the burger actually tasted good and was remarkable teamwork. The previous record was only 881 pounds.
