Matthew Huntley NFL replacement refs

The NFL refs are on strike because of money.  The replacement refs are very bad and people have complained about them since the pre season. The officials before the lockout earned about 150,000 dollars.  The refs are still on strike while the NFL still has the worst refs.

The players are also upset or I would say angry about the replacement refs. The real refs did reach an agreement recently to come back and ref. Everybody is happen now that the replacement refs are gone. They were the worst refs in NFL history according to some people.

Rumor has it that John Mayer and Katy Perry have broken up. People just guessed that they were going out from pictures they saw with them together. They soon realized they were really going out and it was over before they knew it. Katy said he was “the one” and was super upset about it. All the fans were also upset because they thought they were the perfect couple. Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be. Katy Perry has gone through so much heartbreak with a divorce that just recently happened and the rumored relationship with Tim Tebow.

Like I said, Katy Perry had not too long ago gotten a divorce. She and Russell Brand were supposedly meant to be, but things change and people change. People say that it was just too hard to be in a long distance relationship like Russell and Katy had to be in. Although, Katy made so much effort to see him when he was practically on the other side of the world. Russell made no effort whatsoever. Katy said that was the hardest time in her life when Russell was starting to show no care for her. I can’t imagine what is it like to go through another heartbreak like she is with John Mayer right now.

Nasa’s Mars rover Curiosity seems to have discovered an ancient streambed. The water probably flowed in large volumes in hip-deep places across the Martian surface. Photos taken by the Curiosity rover has revealed stones cemented into conglomerate rock. Some of them are round which means they were transported a long way by water.

The Scientists predict that the water was moving about 3 feet per second. This is the first time they have seen water-transported gravel. The photograph of the water-transported gravel was taken inside a place called Gale Crater. They think the water flowed billions of years ago.

Well I am doing my social article on Obama. He is fake he is not a real person. He is controlled by Romney which is just a political ploy to distract us of what is really happening. The mormons are going to take us over. They are planning an all out attack on Toyota ,Jeep , Nissan and every other car you can think of. It makes me sad to think that every person that is not a mormon has to forfeit there car because of one religion. This country was born on freedom of speech, religion,etc and these mormons just want to ruin this for us.

I might even start a mass riot if they do not back down. It makes me feel like they don’t care about our religion. It might turn out to be armageddon who knows. I guess if it happens it happens so I guess I will let it be. Just one thing if it is the end then goodbye. 

The Lecroix Family by Parker Daniel

Recently, the baby of Granville and Kathy Lecroix has passed away.  On Monday, Mrs. Lecroix got up in chapel and spoke about her child and how God is helping her through this tragedy.  I think that it takes a lot of bravery to get up and talk about this, and to trust God through this.  Not questioning God about why this happens is very faithful, and shows a lot of trust in Him.  Many people went to the funeral of Abagail Lecroix to mourn her death and to support the Lecroix family.  Everyone needs to keep them in their prayers so that God will listen and help them.

This might have an effect on the Varsity Football Team because, as many of you know; Granville is the Lineman Coach and the Training Coach.  I hope that our team can pull through against Deshler on Friday, even with this loss for the week.  Kathy is the Math 7 teacher, so the 7th graders will not have her this week either.  Though this is a tragedy, this can also be seen as a test for the Lecroix’s faith, and in my opinion, they are passing.  They have a large amount of faith and hope from their church family here at MA, and this is something that will help them through this tragedy.

The Black Panther is being more sociable lately. He has been spotted many times. He has been talked about lately on the local news and the popular radio show “Rick and Bubba”. If you do not know about this latest social conversation about the Black Panther then you are missing out! It is simply about a large feline mammal that is also very black and is roaming around Alabama.

I think that the Black Panther conversation is much more popular then last weeks “Bigfoot” conversation. I also think that it is much more believable. The Black Panther has been trying to come in contact with people, but since he is a panther people want to run away from him. If you are cool you will know about the Black Panther.

Technology today is taking over people. People use to call and talk for hours. They had huge phones but things have changed. We have not have phones that long and it has evolved into something big. Something bigger than you could imagine.

Today Apple has taken over the computers and phones. Most of the time we spend talking to each other by text or email. We never really call to talk for hours about something. They really have developed something people have gotten hooked on. It helps people communicate better and we have come a long way with electronics.

Southern Pride by Preslee Lones

Homecoming week is just next week. We are going to able to have fun dressing up to support our football team. We have days like disney day and color day, but I want to talk about southern pride. Southern Pride is a day when you dress up in anything you think defines the south. Things like Alabama, Auburn, camo and so on. 

The reason it is called southern pride this year, is because in past years there have been people who took it the wrong direction. Senior cheerleaders get to help out with days and everyone wanted a “camo” day. Well, that name would not be approved by the school for a big reason. Some students in the past were wearing armed forces kind of como and many people did not like that. That is why the name is now southern pride day this year.

The election is coming up soon between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Democrats are trying to show their effort to support and work with the celebrities, but the republicans have already showed their part in that. Still voting, lots of the Hollywood stars seem to be leaning more towards Obama. Some of the rock stars are actually supporting Mitt Romney though. Some examples are Kid Rock and Ted Nugent.

     Kid Rock made an appearance on the campaign trial so that he could play “Born Free” for the Republican party. Ted Nugent has been talking to Mitt and discussing political issues over the phone. He has supported Romney through Twitter and even talked to a newspaper reporter about his opinion. Nugent thinks that Mitt Romney will keep this country in order and bring America back to the way it was. This decision was based on many facts and evidence he had found.

     Have you heard that the I phone 5 is newer and better than ever? t looks like the next-generation Apple smartphone will be much slimmer than its predecessors, according to newly surfaced pictures.

     Cell phone repair company iResQ.com — which said it has been receiving the screen assembly, back casing and other parts for the new iPhone posted pictures of the latest model up against the iPhone 4S, and it’s clear that the latest device is slightly thinner. In fact, it’s about 18% more thiner. The new iPhone (pictured left) appears to be about 7.6 mm thick, compared to the iPhone 4S at 9.3 mm. It also seems to be slimmer by the thickness of the back panel of glass. It’s also evident that the iPhone 5 is significantly taller than the iPhone 4S and 4, which is also in line with rumors circulating the web. I'm supposed to get one on Christmas it is so exciting!

     The newest thing in the social world is about Pinterest. It gets more reviews and usage than Google. More people want to be able to learn through this site. Pinterest is holding a “webinar” so support its second anniversary on the web. On March 27 the webinar will feature its new pins. 

Many girls and some guys are into Pinterest. It’s a great place to look up DIY’s or just fun pictures.  Pinning and making boards, it’s a very social place. That’s the social news about Pinterest! 

Bill Cosby Dead by Jacob Williams

    The unfortunate happened not to long ago. Bill Cosby was announced dead. It is now the trending topic on Twitter and has gained over 315,000 likes on Facebook. Gladly, this is all a lie. Bill Cosby is the most recent victim of a cruel joke. This all started on Facebook, with a group called “Bill Cosby Dead.” With over 315,000 members in the group, it would be hard to find the person who started all of this troubles.
    Luckily, the admin of the page came clean and reporters named him as Jonathan Gorman. He stated the following quote, “My name is Jonathan Gorman and I am the page admin/creator.” Followed by, “I have come to the conclusion that I should tell you all the truth. Bill Cosby is not deceased. I have made around 315 THOUSAND people angry.” This was not the first time Bill Cosby was pronounced dead, in fact, this has happened about four times! Jonathan later apologized to Bill on Facebook and thanked him for making him laugh at Bill’s “stupidity for the past day and a half.”

     Today in social news, Honey Boo Boo is the new famous pageant girl. She now has her own television show called “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” This show is crazy, it’s about her, and her family. They all have nicknames in their family. The oldest daughter, Anna, is pregnant. Their family is very country and doesn’t care what others think of them. Alana, ”Honey Boo Boo,” is a crazy child and she has a funny personality.

     Alana has her own pig named, Glitzy. She says thats her best pageant friend. She sometime sleeps with her pig. They are all heavier weight wise, and are trying to loose weight. So the mom, June is trying to have them all on a “diet.” So as a reward because they all have been trying hard to loose weight, June, the mom took them to a water park to celebrate. And while there June wore her socks because a few years ago her foot got ran over by a forklift, and so she wears her socks to cover her foot up. But, her kids have never seen her foot before and while there they convinced her to show them and take the sock off. Thats the latest with “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

Is Zuckerberg to blame for Facebook’s slumping stock? Peter Thiel, an early Facebook investor has just sold his initial $500,000 investment in Facebook for a profit upwards of $1,000,000,000. This scares away many investors, because they believe the company will not do well with all these investors selling their shares. Lately, the price of Facebook stock dropped from the initial $38.00 to just $18.75. This is mainly due to Facebook earning their revenue from advertisements, but the company will not explain what exactly they’re spending this revenue on.

Investors are turning to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, for answers. Many believe he is too young to lead a company as large as Facebook. Although many are blaming him for Facebook’s problems, he is not at risk for losing his job. This is due to him owning 20.7% in Facebook’s stock and a 57% voting stake in the company.

Did you know that some of twitter followers are fake? According to this new app, that checks out how many followers of yours are fake, about 33% of twitter followers are fake. A London-based social media management firm StatusPeople created an online tool to go through your followers and find out which ones are fake. The website is http://fakers.statuspeople.com/Fakers/ it is very good to use and tells you what you the truth is about your followers.

The fake followers mostly follow big accounts like the @facebook account, which actually has 44% fake followers. The fake followers are spam bots that usually have no tweets, follow a ton of people, and have hardly any or no followers at all. So watch out for those signs, and you will probably avoid the fake accounts.

Review of Pakistani Twitter Star Goes Off-Line by Kyle Siersma

         I did my review over Pakistanis Twitter community losing, @MajorlyProfound, the most popular satirist in the country. He was loved for his acid commentary on the powerful and their prejudices. The unexpected closing of his account has sent electronic cries of anguish through the Twitter community in Pakistan. @MajorlyProfound had over 10,000 followers on his account, many of them Pakistani and Indian social media news workers.

The disappearance of him/her has left behind many concerned fans, many coming up with theories such as him being abducted or threatened. Others believe that he will reincarnate into a new person. Many of the “wimmins” in @MajorlyProfounds world were particularly upset.

"Review of Katy Perry"

It seems like Katy Perry and John Mayer are NOT doing what ever it is they were doing. Though Katy’s and John’s personal reps are keeping quiet. The reports are saying that the NEVER official couple are NOT dating anymore. Now that Katy is single and John is a free man, does that mean that we will soon see “PART OF ME PART 2?” 

The source says that they’ll end up as friends though.The source says that :“They were honestly having fun. People made it more than it really was.” The source states that friendship can NEVER be love! But there are questions about it if they were NOT having a romance why is Katy so upset? And why does John miss her bikini malfunction at a water park?

Katy’s news of the sudden togetherness shocked every one on august 2. Source says that “they were seen eating dinner together after which followed a beautiful evening together.” Katy who just not so long ago divorced her husband Russell brand was having a lot of free and fun time as well as “sleepovers” with john mayer.

"Chad Johnson" By: Drew Bates

In recent news Chad Johnson was arrested for a misdemeanor battery charge. He head butted his wife and left a cut on her fore head.  He said that they leaned down at the same time and bumped heads.  He was a wide receiver for the dolphins this year, but the coaching staff decided to let him go.  His judge will be Ian Richards who grew up in the same neighbor-hood as Johnson.  The judge is known to be a tough man.  He once tackled a suspect in the court room who was about to start a fight.

I am interested to see how this case unfolds.  He was a very very good football player, but he has wasted his life away.  He was not a very good man at all.  The only thing that he had going for him was his talent.  He was a star athlete he just made some bad choices in his life.  If he would straighten out his life he would have so much more going for him.

Teen pop star Miley Cyrus just did something that some people would say was the worst thing she could have done. She cut her hair! So bad that it gives me nightmares. Why would she do such a thing? She says she wants to keep her fans on her toes so they don’t know what to expect from Miley. 

On Hollywoods gossip page it seems like more people think it looks horrible than it does good. The poll states that 63.6% says “Whoa, looks horrible” and 36.4% said “Looks great.” The numbers do not lie. It is a horrible haircut. I feel like she is only doing it to get the spotlight on herself because it has not been on her in a while. Some people might want to know who cut her hair? All I have to say is who cares!! It looks horrible end of story!

"Review of Family Fest" by: Maggie Crabb

Last Saturday we had family fest. If you do not know what family fest is, it is something that we do once a year to introduce our football players and cheerleaders from first grade through twelfth grade. All of the kids that cheer or play football invite their families to come to the football field and everyone talks and eats burgers. The Lama Mommas sell fundraising stuff like: t-shirts, old football jerseys, bracelets, car stickers, and many other things. 

The first thing that we do when we get to the football field is eat. They have burgers, chips, cookies, and drinks. After we eat we just hang out and talk. After about an hour, they quiet everyone down and announce the football players and cheerleaders. They start with the 1st graders and work their way up. After they introduce the JV and Varsity, they have a scrimmage. The JV and Varsity divide in half, maroon and white, and they have a scrimmage. I usually have a lot of fun at the Family Fest!
