MITT! MITT! MITT! Thats right I am for Mitt Romney in this upcoming presidential election. As opposed to his presidential enemy, barrack obama. Barack obama should not be the president of our country for another 4 years!! He has put us into a tremendous amount of debt with other countries. Plus I dont like democrats so vote for MITT!!

Remember The Titans By: Josh Benner

  One of my favorite movies is called Remember the Titans.  It is based on actual events that happened in Virginia during the time of the Civil Rights movement.  The movie begins by showing scenes from T.C. Williams High and its new school integration program.  No one is happy with the new arrangement.  Blacks mistrust white people, and whites resent the intrusion of African-Americans.  To make matters worse, the school’s favorite head coach, Coach Yoast, is replaced by Herman Boone, a black coach.  Mistrust between these men exists also.  For a long time, friction between black and white teammates and their coaches continue.  Over time, however, both the players and coaches realize that if they want to become winners, they must put their differences aside, depend on one another, and unite as one team.  When they do this, success happens and friendships form.  The friendships that begin because of football continue off the field.  One by one, others in the town are influenced by what they are seeing, and many become “color-blind” as well.  In the end, all win.   The Titans win the State Championship and go on to place second in the nation.  The people win because they become a united community, supportive of all who need it whether black or white.  All were forever influenced by the Titans.

     I liked this movie because of the sports, but I also liked watching strangers become friends.  One of my dad’s friends went to a rival high school of T.C Williams during this time.  He said their football program really did change the way many in Virginia looked at segregation.  It does not matter if a person is black or white, boy or girl, rich or poor, smart or dumb. Each is unique.  Each is important.  I can learn something from each person I meet, and I think each person can learn something from me, also.  If we are wise, we will follow the Titan’s example.  We will learn to value people because God made them and remember that they are important no matter what.   

Nemo by Trammell Shepherd

Viewers of all ages will love this film.  It will touch almost everybody.  It will keep you watching with its mixture of joy, love, anger, and fustration.  It teaches a good life lesson of being patient.  This is a great all around movie for anybody.  

This is a adventurous animated movie That takes place under the sea.  Its about a over protective clown fish named marlin and his son Nemo.  One day Nemo swims to far off and gets taken my by divers.  He finds himself in a fish tank at the dentist along with other fish who help him get back to his dad.  Marlin also receives help from a fish named Dory who helps the time go by but is very forgetful.

This year a man named Mitt Romney is running up against Obama in the Presidential campaign. We listened to all of the the Democratic and Republican speeches in Leadership. I really liked Romney and he sounded like a pretty good person. He is very good at making speeches. 

I think a lot of people are going to vote for Romney. He had a lot of good points in his speech. I really like his wife too. She made a speech in the Republican Convention and it was really good.

This week I have the opportunity to write about music. I love to listen to music. Music can bring many emotions. It can bring sadness, excitement, joy, love. One of the major things that music brings back is memories. Music is associated with many emotions and parts of life.

As I mentioned earlier about memories. I was riding in the car with my dad one day, and we turned the radio to 102.1 and an old country song came on. As soon as my dad heard it, he was shocked that the song was still playing. According to him, the song is about 20 years old. I had asked him if the song brought memories back, he told me that the song brought many memories back. As you can see, music can bring back many things.

This week on the musical side of life I will be talking about the number one song  of the top songs. Now when I say top songs I mean in iTunes store. song is but I know for sure what the second one is. So here it is the number one song is one of my favorites and that is the Japanese inspired song  Gangnam style. This song has a variety of music types. It has a little bit of actual words that are sang in the song and a mixture of electronic music and instrumental music.

The reason that I find this song so interesting is that it is a little strange to have a foreign song in the top 10. I think the reason it has done this is because it has such a good mixture of electronic music and not  a whole lot of actual Japanese words in it.

Ethan Carter social

My topic this week is relationships. That I know of, there are two relationships that i know of (or that i pay attention to). There is the Tyler French and Elizabeth Taylor couple. These two have been together for 4(?) months now. The next and final couple is the Ethan Carter(me!) and Shelby Selvidge couple. We have been together for 4 months. So far, both couples have made excellent progress in their relationships and don’t seem to be breaking up for a long time. This is all the information I have this week, talk to me later and i'll write about it.
