I am doing my movie article on Finding Nemo. This movie is an american classic it really brings out why we are americans. It is a real feeling jerker it can make you sad or happy. Depending on where you grew up. Like if you grew up in the hood you probably wouldn’t like it but if your a city boy like Trammell or Josh you will like it.

It really makes you feel like what really happens in the ocean. If my pet goldfish got lost you better bet i would be out there looking for him. I wouldn’t let him go for anything. My goldfish means the world to me. I could see why he would chase nemo so far, because I would to. It makes me feel happy that there other people out there that care about fish. I wish everyone was like that if so we would have a lot better economy. I hope one day a fish could run our country because it is better than what we have now.

"Led Zeppelin Film" by Ian Romine

On October 17, “Celebration Day”, a film about Led Zeppelin’s reunion at London’s O2 reunion, will be coming to 1,500 theaters for one night only. The film features singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, and bassist/keyboardists John Paul Jones, with Jason Bonham filling in for his father, John Bonham, on drums. The film features many of Led Zeppelin’s most famous songs. Such as, “Stairway to Heaven”, “Kashmir”, “Whole Lotta Love”, and many more.

The concert was for Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records. All money earned was given to an educational charity founded by Ertegun. In other Led Zeppelin news, they will be honored at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.

Peter Pan By: Reagan Waldron

I’m going to do a movie review on Peter Pan. This movie was one of my favorite movies when I was little. It a story about a girl named Wendy and her two brothers John and Michael meet him and go to Neverland. Wendy had told her brothers about this place and claimed to have been seeing a shadow lately. One night he shows up and Wendy and her brothers meet him and then they leave.

When they get there, the first thing they encounter is Captain Hook trying to get Peter Pan. The story continues with Tinker Bell getting jealous which ultimately leads to Captain Hook almost killing Peter Pan. In the end they all come together and take Wendy, John, and Michael home. It is a good story with a good main idea and has a moral value in my opinion. The lesson I think is that we all have to grow up one day, no matter how much we want to stay a kid.

Homecoming Week by Caroline Dearman

Every year for the homecoming game on Friday, the prior week is known for Homecoming Week or Spirit Week. This week is where all the students can decorate the hallways and participate in designated dress up days for each day of the week, Monday through Friday. This year’s days are Thrift Store or Tacky Day, Disney Day, Multiplicity or Group Day, Southern Pride Day, and the tradition for Friday, Class Color Day. Each grade, seven through twelve, is assigned a color for their class. For example, the freshmen’s color is pink, so on Friday, we will wear our homecoming t-shirts, which are usually each class’s color, and go all-out in pink.

I really liked the days picked for this year. I think my favorite day is Disney Day because I like to see all the characters and try to think of who they are. I was Mary Poppins, which I think was a hit! I also didn’t see any others so that was good. Overall, homecoming is a great week. 

HC Review by Noah Harrison

This year’s HC game will be against Clements. This should be an easy game for the Mustangs compared to last week’s game against Lauderdale County, who was ranked number three in the state in 3A football. I am expecting many points to be scored by the Mustangs and a fun game for the crowd to watch. Clements will not be as good as most teams that the Mustangs will face, but they can have an upset win if the Mustangs take them lightly.

If the Mustangs team plays to the ability they have, they will beat Clements. If they come out thinking it will be a blow-out and not play the way they should, Clements could very well beat them. But Clements is a young team without much leadership and is inexperienced. So hopefully the Mustangs will be come out with a big win this Friday for HC week and set them up for region play next week against Deshler. Good luck to both teams on Friday and may the best team win.

Homecoming By: Tiffany Von Tungeln

This year’s homecoming is a lot like last year. The days are tacky day, Disney day, multiplicity day, Southern pride day, and color day. The first day we pretty much just wore clothes that didn’t match, or had holes in them. On Disney day, most of the people in our grade were dressed up like dalmatians and penguins from several different Disney movies. The dalmatians were the most popular though. Multiplicity day is basically 2 or more people dress up as a group and represent something. Southern Pride day is showing our love for the south! Lots of people are either being a Southern Belle or wearing camouflage. The last day is our class color day, in which we will be wearing as much of our color as possible! Ninth grade’s color is pink.

     Homecoming doesn’t seem as exiting as it was last year. It just doesn’t seem like people are dressing up as much as they were before, or getting enthusiastic about it. The hallways are sort of decorated,but there is not much too them. The seniors only had a few banners and streamers. I heard they were going to do strobe lights, but they were considered a fire hazard. The people who have been a part of homecoming this year have been doing a great job though. Hopefully it will be better next year!

This year’s homecoming has been good so far! Well, this year’s homecoming decoration is way different than last year’s decoration! This year’s homecoming decoration is like a little decorated but not that much and cool as last year’s was! Last year’s homecoming decoration had streamers above the lights and made them darker and balloons were everywhere and also the Junior’s class color is always white this year it is blue for some reason!

I was expecting the decoration to be like last year’s and better but, when I saw how it was this year I said there’s a shock and it should’ve been carried away with decoration because nothing can be too decorated for Homecoming if you want your side of the hallway to look the best! I believe that I am right! But, no offense to anyone who helped decorated but for next year it needs to be more improved and overly decorated I mean you all did a good job it just needs to be more Creative and cool at the same time and of course better appealing! Keep up doing good but it needs way more decoration for next year!!!(:
